Iron Age has been branching out into product lines that are a departure from water drainage structures. They are entering exciting new areas with products that are true to their creative calling and eco-chic aesthetic style.
Step Grates
Step Grates are similar to trench drain grating in design. They are rectangle like a drain grate - they just happen to be larger than a typical grate. Designed with pedestrian traffic in mind, these grates can be used to form stairways, suspended walkways and pedestrian bridges. The same design flare you see with the drain grates is present in the step grates. Only a few patterns are available currently, but the product line is new and we expect more patterns to immerge.
The patterns available now are Oblio 1824, Urban Rhythms 918, Locust 1220 and Locust 2040.
Register Grates
Iron Age Designs has introduced a line of floor register covers based on popular patterns they have created for their drainage grates. Like the drainage grates, all register covers are made with recycled cast metal and are available in custom alloys or with coatings of your choice. Delicate yet bold, these heat register covers are a wonderful way to accent the inside of your home with the same style you bring to the exterior.
We currently have 5 patterns of covers to choose from: Oblio, Tenino, Interlaken, Locust, and Nassau. There are 2 vent sizes common for household heat registers; 4’ x 10” and 4” x 12”. Iron Age supplies all these styles in both sizes.

5.5” x 12” (fits 4”x10” actual opening)
5.5” x 14” (fits 4”x12” actual opening)
