The POLYCAST® 900 and 3000 series channels are designed specifically for the impact and load requirements necessary to handle highway and airport traffic.
900 Series - The 900 Series Grated Line Drain exceeds AASHTO highway standards for vehicles operating at highway speeds. POLYCAST® 900 uses a pre-sloped polymer concrete channel, in conjunction with, a high capacity, 6" wide ductile iron grating to achieve flow rates up to 470 GPM. Typically, the grating is non-removable when installed. However, removable sections can be installed for areas where "clean-out" access is required. Polymer concrete is resistant to salt, oil, and most acids and alkalis. Likewise, polymer concrete maintains structural properties under freeze/thaw conditions.
3000 Series - The POLYCAST® 3000 Series is a high capacity drain system designed for airports, roadways and other applications needing high volume flow rates. The unique bulb shape design, combined with a continuous 1% slope, provides the largest flow capacity of any similar pre-sloped trench drain on the market today. Made with pultruded fiberglass channels, and a high volume ductile iron grate, the POLYCAST 3000 channel system is capable of achieving flows as high as 3000 gallons per minute.
In addition to meeting and exceeding FAA Specification AC 150/5320-6D, its special frame design makes it possible to install 100 feet of channel per hour with a two man crew. Fiberglass grating and stainless steel frames are also available for the 3000 Series.
