Meadrain – Polymer Concrete Trench Drain Systems
The Meadrain product line is the centerpiece of the Mea Trench Drain offering. Meadrain is a commercial grade polymer concrete channel that comes in standard 1 or ½ meter lengths and in widths of 4”, 6”, 8” and 12”. Channels come without edge protection (designated with a U prefix) or with edge protection.
Channel edging is available in galvanized steel (J prefix), stainless steel (S prefix), or ductile iron (EN prefix). Silt buckets and end caps are also available with the protective edging. Edging not only protects the underlying polymer concrete from chipping and weathering, but aids the grate locking mechanism, especially with Clipfix® grating options.

Meadrain 1000
Across the industry, the work horse of polymer concrete trench drain is the 4” wide channel. This is also the case for Meadrain. The products within the 1000 series offer the most variety of channel design, edging, grating options and accessories.
Meadrain 1000 series channel drains have a 4 inch interior width (100 mm) and come in 1 meter and ½ meter lengths. Besides being aesthetically pleasing and highly functional, Meadrain 1000 series products bring variety to any surface drainage application. Grate selection for this series is superb. But, the channel design is the heart and soul of this product line.
Channels are available with an edge rail made from either ductile iron, galvanized steel, stainless steel or without edging. Channel slopes can be neutral (no slope) or have a 0.5% slope for long runs or 2.5% slope for short runs. The Meadrain 1000 products have a complete selection of grating options and accessories, such as, catch basins, end outlets, and installation supports. Decorative grates are also available.
Meadrain Solution
Mea has a number of specialty drains for parking deck, warehouse or running track applications. For parking deck applications, Mea has three low profile products available. These, one meter long, polymer concrete channels are used where shallow channel depths are mandated. Other Mea Solution products include polymer concrete slot drain channels and steel slot drain riser tops. The slot drains are used where drainage points need to be hidden from view or where minimal physical disturbance from the presence of grating is required.
Meadrain EN series
The Meadrain EN series are polymer concrete channels with the advantage of having a ductile iron channel edging for added strength and protection. Mea’s EN series channels are available in 4 widths:
- Meadrain EN1000 – 4 inch (100 mm) wide
- Meadrain EN1500 – 6 inch (150 mm) wide
- Meadrain EN2000 – 8 inch (200 mm) wide
- Meadrain EN3000 – 12 inch (300 mm) wide
The EN1000, covered in the Meadrain 1000 section, has a complete assortment of one meter long sloped channels. The wider EN Series channels (EN1500, EN2000 and EN3000) are neutral sloped and are available in 1 meter and ½ meter sections. There are three channel depths to choose from. Each EN Series product has end caps, outlets and catch basins that come with the edge protection.
